Proud Members Of The British Taekwondo Control Board

Foxfield Primary School introduced the Taekwondo after school club in January 2006. The club, expertly led by David Carmichael, runs from 3.30 – 4.30pm each Monday and is attended by children in years 2 – 6 (ages 7-11). The children thoroughly enjoy the sessions and some have enjoyed it so much that they have enrolled in other sessions run at the Glyndon Community Hall at other times during the week. Two children have actually started working on belts and have moved up one colour.

After a recent assembly for the rest of the school and parents, demand for places at the club has increased, so the class will shortly be split in to Intermediate and Beginners groups.

The fun that the children have doing Taekwondo is very evident, but it is also excellent physical exercise and reinforces discipline and respect.

‘Tan’Gun Taekwondo’ are always punctual, friendly and are extremely child-friendly. They have also developed excellent relationships with parents and the school. We aim to continue the club well in to the future and look forward to watching our Taekwondo members’ further their achievements.

Well done, and thank you ‘Tan’Gun Taekwondo’!
