Favourite Kicks: Double 45, Push Kick and Back Kick

Personal Ambitions: Achieving my Black belt and hopefully going to the 2012 Olympic Games as part of the British Taekwondo Team.

Things I enjoy: Taekwondo, Playing Football, Playing Computer games and Listening to music.

I joined Tan’Gun in October 2006 after my cousin Ethan told me he started Taekwondo,

I went along and watched one of the lessons. I wasn’t sure before then, my mum always wanted me to do something like this, but I was only interested in Football.

I enjoyed what I saw and since joining in October 2006 I took my first grading in December 2006, where I achieved a double grading from a White belt to a Yellow belt. I have also had the opportunity to take part in my first ever competition in February 2007 at Crystal Palace. I was a little nervous; I didn’t think that I was ready to face someone in competition. Once on the mat face to face with my opponent, it was fantastic, I didn’t win my fight but I had a real good time trying.

It’s hard work and I go training twice a week sometimes more, everyone is so friendly and supportive to each other and I have made lots of new friends, which makes going training even better.

I look forward to achieving my Black belt and maybe go to the Olympics, but until then I’ll keep training hard....
