I've always been interested in the Far East and martial arts but not just the physical aspects, the beauty, philosophies and the knowledge of martial arts. From watching martial art film's when I was young, and as I got older and my interest grew I never quite made the move to join any clubs or academies and didn't even know what style of martial arts I would like to take up if I did.

It was quite sometime after leaving school when I met a red belt (Craig Wellock - 2nd Dan) from Grandmaster Frank Massar's class, I told Craig I might be interested in taking it up so I went along one day in 1996 and joined up Grandmaster Frank's Yin-Yang Taekwondo Academy and loved it and wished I joined an academy sooner.

After reaching 6th Kup (green belt) I received a broken rib when sparring one day. I took sometime off to heal, came back then left again shortly after that in 1998 due to a family illness. I returned to Taekwondo in December of 2004 but wish I returned a lot sooner.
I'm back now to carry on with my studies and hope to go all the way to black belt and who knows hopefully further.
